MicroFluidics Lumens as Small as 0.058mm
Using our proprietary processes, Promed is capable of manufacturing silicone components, incorporating molded lumens as small as 0.058mm diameter (0.0023”) We are also able to create relatively long lumens with multiple, stepped lumen diameters.
This allows us to reliably produce small lumens for a variety of applications:
- Microfluidic pressure and flow control
- Eye implants
- Enable insertion/encapsulation of drug plugs/cores for micro molded dosage forms
- Venting of silicone casting molds
