Silicone elastomers are often the material of choice for critical applications because of their flexibility, durability, biocompatibility, and resistance to chemical degradation. From a manufacturing standpoint, LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) and HCR (High Consistency Rubber) materials offer a path to highly reproducible, consistent products that meet tight geometric tolerances. High precision injection molding equipment is utilized to support varying product needs such as micro-molding or multi component/over molded processes. These injection molding machines may be optimized to accommodate the molding of LSR or HCR elastomer systems. Alternate processes include both Transfer and Compression molding machines.
