MINNEAPOLIS—ProMed Molded Products, a leader in medical-grade silicone molding and contract manufacturing, has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag Award (Bandera Azul Ecológica) in the Construction category by the Costa Rican government. This recognition celebrates ProMed’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable development in the construction of its new manufacturing facility in Costa Rica Green Valley Business and Technology Park, located in Grecia.

The Blue Flag Award is one of Costa Rica’s highest distinctions for ecological and sustainable practices, reflecting rigorous standards in environmental impact, energy efficiency, water usage, waste management, and community engagement.

The award-winning facility, currently under construction, will specialize in silicone and thermoplastic molding, including over-molding and insert molding, as well as value-added assembly. ProMed’s expansion into Costa Rica marks the company’s first production presence in Latin America and is designed to support global customers seeking high-quality, precision-engineered medical components with regional co-location benefits.
